I've had a horrible, rotten, no good day and the pattern on the bandana on my head says pretty much everything for me.

On Impulse

Kind of could use a new pair of footwear. Many of mine are falling apart. These were the last pair, on clearance but they feel a bit large so they might get exchanged or turned in for store credit.

Doors and Cars

While my daughter and I were waiting for my Pilot to get fixed up at the dealership, we lunched at Basil Thai. We split the Pad Se Lew with tofu which was quite yummy! Don't they have the prettiest bathroom doors you ever did see?

At It Again

The clouds were having another mingle session with several different types at the party in the sky. There was also an amazing gold glow at sunset with black and lightning in the distance. I wondered if we'd get rain and we did, for just a couple minutes =(

Rambling Rose

Snowball Attempt

This batch was mostly succssful, but a couple of the cookies disintegrated for the powdered sugar dusting. Needed more butter? A firmer rolling hand? Oh drat, will need to make these again to figure it out!

At The African Grey

These young Blue-Masked Lovebirds (and their cousins) are so pretty to see! Their coloring reminds me so much of the sky and storm clouds, yet seems peaceful. Although right now is not the right time to be adding to our family, perhaps someday I'll have a bird of my own to cuddle with.

Resides a geeky dragon and an eager hatchling. Not only in pewter figurine form, but human as well!

Stress Relief

Slamming a spoon into something soft yet stony. Yes, final is over. Yes, Chem was passed but by the hairs of my tail. Yes, the FAFSA stuff got taken care of and the check book found. Having the bird scream for nearly two hours straight unraveled all that.

The Marshmallow & I dined al fresco for dinner tonight because it was too nice out there not to & the bird wouldn't stop screaming. I had no idea our roses had survived the winter and bloomed! What a pleasant discovery! Thanks to my Precious for keeping them watered & bases covered =)

Inspired, But Not.

I'd like to start writing actual words in here again. I have a couple ideas rolling around in my head of what to write but the mixture of school stress, lack of sleep, and no evidence of people actually reading this thing points to that the effort will not be put forth right now. Next Tuesday afternoon will officially start another small break from classes and maybe I'll do a Wardrobe Wednesday, or a Thoughtful Thankful Thursday, or something.

I hope you've been enjoying my 365 Camera Phone Project. It has been pretty effortless to post those to flickr and up here. The creative muscles seem to be pretty stiff and it feel like most of the time I present sub-par images but this is my chance to learn. Go back and critique my own work. Browse the flickr group for ideas and feedback. Keep my eyes open for chance circumstances and unique experiences. While I may not always be happy with what I produce I'm not regretting that I started this. I got a pretty late start, because most start at the first day of the new year, and I finally bit the bullet in the... second week of March.
