The Hall of Mixed Emotions

On these walls are posted the grades for all classes. At the end of the hall is a doorway which leads to where many of the animals are housed: guinea pigs, mice, rats, gerbils, birds, rabbits, and the cats. It is incredible that such a small amount of space holds potential for such joy and sorrow.

This Little Face ....

Brightens my darkest of days. My Marshmallow Girl, the little piece of my heart walking around. <3

Now I'm not one to normally go ga-ga over a car but the paint job on this guy rocked my world. This image does not do it one iota of justice. Color shifting green and purple goodness. My Pilot's dirt-caked steel grey was ashamed to be parked to such beauty.

Stocking Up

This was my belated Mother's Day present, I suppose. DH & I lugged it down to the basement & both of us regret not hiring the hardware store people to move it for us. It's there now though and has a decent variety of meats. I'm looking forward to filling it more with home made heat and eat entrees. Need to get some bettercontainers for that.

Feel so far behind...

It's been a little rough lately. Haven't been keeping up with my homework as well as I should, and on the lighter side I'm way behind in my blog subscriptions, cell phone photo a day, and the stack of clean laundry now blocks the closet door. In my defense I've been nursing a sick cat and had an allergy attack this weekend.

Tai-Grr is the sick kitty. He has had diarrhea for quite a while now. He's been on hypo-allergenic food and Metronidazole since the start of the month. He had an abdominal ultrasound on Monday. The results from that have come up as inconclusive. He doesn't have the thickening of the intestinal walls for an IBD diagnosis. The Veterinarian thinks it might be Pancreatitis or food allergy. We are going to continue the Metro and limited ingredients food and give it time. Also saving our pennies for more blood work. He still has diarrhea but the Metro seems to be helping and as long as he keeps eating, we can at least avoid Hepatic Lipidosis.

On the upside, I'm still getting B's in both my classes this quarter. Just a couple more weeks left and I want to see if I can push things to make the grade more secure, because it's on the low side right now.

Facebook Feigns Flickr

Taking pics faster than the free flickr can keep up with so will be using facebook for overflow photos. There isn't picnik but it will be easier for friends and family to keep up. That's the plan anyway.

Needs of a Different Kind

Meds administered, feeding attempted, a method of safe transport. Feel better soon, Tai-Grr! Tonight was the last night of meds. Hoping his appetite returns by tomorrow evening.

Spreading Cheer All The Year

These little kittens swing from my rear view mirror. They were given to us as a Christmas goody from my parents and somehow ended up as stowaways in the center console of my Pilot. They recently came out of hiding and I couldn't resist hanging them up! Hopefully they won't get too faded before next Christmas.

Take The Time

This sculpture is outside of the Denver Dumb Friends League, as a reminder to us to take the time to enjoy our furry friends and let them know they are loved.

Mother's Day Rose

A Beautiful Day...

For a walk in City Park. We saw geese- babies and an unwell one. Lots of dog walkers, trees continuing to green up and blossom, and several kids at the playground. We talked about renting a pedal boat but didn't because I'd need another adult helping to keep us afloat. It was an over-all pleasant afternoon for my girl and I.
